Scope and Content

Printed maps, mainly relating to Flintshire and Denbighshire, 1577-1860, including maps of England and Wales, 1667-[1840s]; map of Wales, 1808; maps of North Wales, [17th century]-1860; county maps, 1577-1868; town and parish maps, [c. 1740]-1833; marine charts, 1689-[c. 1791]; and road maps, [c. 1675]-[18th century].

Administrative / Biographical History

Flintshire Record Office has collected printed historic maps of the county and elsewhere, including early marine and road maps. Ordnance Survey maps are held separately.

Some records transferred from Clwyd Library Service, 1977.
