Administrative / Biographical History
Harold Iain MacLean was born on 11 March 1920 and a medical student at the University of Glasgow from 1937-1942 . In his first year, 1937-1938, he studied Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, Botany and Anatomy and in the next academic session he took Anatomy, Pysiology, Lectures and Practical. In his third year he took Medicine, Pathology and Surgery, whilst in his fourth year, 1930-1941, he studied Medicine, Chemical Medicine and Surgery. In fis final year he studied Chemical Medicine and Clinical Surgery. He graduated MB ChB in 1942 .
