- campaign for the BBC and ITV to employ women as news readers, and to recruit more women in TV and radio generally

- successful campaign to ban advertising of vaginal deodorants on commercial television (1972)

- submissions to the Annan Committee on the Future of Broadcasting in 1974

- campaign for more women to be appointed on boards of TV companies and other top posts

- 'Images of Women Television Advertising Awards' dinner held at the London Zoo in 1979 following an intensive monitoring of TV commercials

- campaign to see more women represented on the board of Channel 4 and to secure amendments to the Broadcasting Bill with regard to training at all levels: administrative, executive, technical, creative and production (1979)

- press conference in Jul 1980 on Images of Women in the Media held at the offices of the Independent Broadcasting Authority

- Women's Action Day in 1980 held at Central Hall, Westminster, organised by Women in Media and the Fawcett Society
