Administrative / Biographical History
John Samson Pedler, the son of John and Maria, was born in Bishop's Tawton, Devon in 1864. By 1881 his family had moved to Cardiff and were living in Roath. The son of a mason, he worked initially as a Highway Inspector and later as a Coal Tipper and Coal Weigher at the docks. He married Mary Jane Middle in Roath St Saviour's Church in 1899. He died in 1943 in Cardiff aged 78.
