Scope and Content

Burford School was found in 1571. The school became a County School in 1924 and admitted girls for the first time. In 1957 the school merged with the Secondary Modern School and moved to a new location on Cheltenham Road. In 1980 the school became a Community College and was made an Academy in 2012.
