Describes her childhood growing up at Glyn Terrace in Dwygyfylchi: playing in the stream, picking bilberries, collecting kindling for the fire in the woods. She talks about the arrival of evacuees from Liverpool during the war and how well they all played together. She also talks about Sunday School at Glan-yr-Afon Schoolroom where she was taught by Bob Thomas from Llan and the caretaker was Ethel Jones. She talks with fondness of the annual summer Sunday School trip to Rhyl.
