Deeds relating to the Cilbronnau estate in the parishes of Llangoedmor and Ciliau Aeron, Cardiganshire, 1553-1731.

Administrative / Biographical History

The Cilbronnau estate was owned by the Meredyth and Griffith families during the period covered by this archive. It eventually passed to the Jenkins family. In 1897, Grismond Philipps, owner of the Cwmgwili estate, married Edith Evans, the niece and eventual heiress of Sir Lawrence Jenkins of Cilbronnau. Cilbronnau was sold in 1978.

Donated by Captain Grismond Philipps, Cwmgwili, in November 1932.

Note

The Cilbronnau estate was owned by the Meredyth and Griffith families during the period covered by this archive. It eventually passed to the Jenkins family.
