Administrative / Biographical History
The Cilbronnau estate was owned by the Meredyth and Griffith families during the period covered by this archive. It eventually passed to the Jenkins family. In 1897, Grismond Philipps, owner of the Cwmgwili estate, married Edith Evans, the niece and eventual heiress of Sir Lawrence Jenkins of Cilbronnau. Cilbronnau was sold in 1978.
