Scope and Content

1 E[dward] Thelwall of llanbedr, co. Denb., gent.;. 2 Pyers ap Ieuan of Coedaney, co. Ang., yeoman. Articles Of Agreement concerning the tenancy of Y Coedaney, co. Ang., (2) covenants to pay the wages of 12 labourers to dig and ditch certain lands in Coedaney and to uphold and repair the ditches while he remains tenant;. (2) Is to hold the said m. for the ensuing two years for the sum of £27. 1s. 8d. p.a.;. (2) Shall not till, manure or plough any of the said land within the second year (except for the spreading of his own muck or compost). Witnesses: John Thelwall, Ambrose Thelwall, Edward ap Thomas, John ap Ieuan lloid and John Charles. Endorsement: 'The charges & Funeral expenses of my Uncle John Thelwall'.
