Artwork for 23 of Jones' illustrated books, mostly consisting of finished works but including some roughs and preparatory material for a few of the titles represented. The series includes black & white pen and ink illustrations for 12 titles, and watercolour illustrations for 8 titles. In the case of 9 of the titles, the artwork takes the form of layout spreads, with both illustrations and text positioned on the page as they would appear in the printed book. For two of the titles - 'Calling Bridge' and 'Tales to Tell' - the artwork constitutes a complete suite of illustrations for that title. In all other cases, the artwork is incomplete. Across the series, a large number of illustrations have been mounted for display - this mounting was done for exhibition and sale of artwork, and explains why many of the suites are incomplete.
All the artwork is arranged in files under the title of the book they relate to. As none of the artwork is dated, the files are arranged in chronological order according to the first date of publication for each title.
