Administrative / Biographical History

Professor Stuart Andrew Baird FFPM RCPS(Glasg) (b. 1957) is Professor of Podiatric Medicine at Glasgow Caledonian University and formerly the Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He has a special interest in Diabetes and its effects on the lower limb and foot. In addition to a distinguished academic career, Professor Baird was a practising podiatrist in the Diabetic Foot Clinic at Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital, and has also undertaken international work to help establish diabetic foot management programmes and deliver podiatric healthcare in Malaysia and India.
