Scope and Content

Most welfare benefits were administered by the province or district, so relatively few records were created by the Amalgamation. The Amalgamation was however responsible for paying strike and lockout pay from the reserve fund. It also disbursed permanent accident benefit and the Mawdsley pensions. This series includes unemployment pay registers of the Cotton Control Board, 1917-1918. This series also contains records relating to the disbursement of funds to members on the dissolution of the Amalgamation.
