This small grouping of material consists of magazines and pamphlets, largely literary in nature, which were either acquired by Lindop for interest, or which contained work he had written. This work includes some very early poems dating back to the mid-1960s, which did not appear in any of his subsequent poetry collections. Particularly significant are five early issues of Carcanet magazine, edited by Michael Schmidt (and one issue co-edited by Lindop); this magazine formed the foundations on which Carcanet Press was later built. Also of interest are six issues of Caret magazine dating from the 1970s which include work by Lindop as well as numerous other well-known poets.
