Image collections

The University Archive's image collection offers a visual record of the history of the University of York. The collection contains photographic prints and negatives, slides, transparencies, and audio-visual recordings and depicts buildings and grounds, some University events and staff, departments, colleges and sporting activity.

Further accruals are expected.

* A selection of digitised photographs taken by University photographers (1960s-2010s),
* images of the University from the slide collection of its former Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies, and
* images of the University's Art Collection,
