Administrative / Biographical History
Robin Huw Bowen, harpist and music publisher, was born in Liverpool, England, to Welsh-speaking parents. He is the only fully professional player of the Welsh triple harp, and began playing the harp while at school. He toured as a member of the Welsh folk group, Mabsant, and since 1983, toured internationally as a solo performer, appearing at major festivals, concerts and colleges, as well as teaching workshops. Between 1990 and 1996, he performed and recorded with the folk group Cusan Tân, and in 1998 he joined the band, Crasdant. Robin Huw Bowen discovered several collections of Welsh tunes and arrangements for harp, and set up his own press, Gwasg Teires (Triple Harp Press) to publish the material.
