Administrative / Biographical History
The firm began as Meldrum Oatts in 1875 , before merging with Brown Dunlop & Lindsay to become Lindsay Meldrum Oatts in 1883. It became Oatts & Rodger in 1912, then Tindal Oatts & Rodger in 1919. Wilson Foulis became part of the firm in 1982 with the name remaining as Tindal Oatts & Rodger. In 1984 the firm merged with Buchanan & McIllwraith to form Tindal Oatts Buchanan & McIllwraith before again reverting to Tindal Oatts in 1987 . Following the amalgamation of Tindal Oatts and Brechin Robb in 1997 , the firm is now called Brechin Tindal Oatts . Their offices are situated at 48 St Vincent Street, Glasgow, and One Edinburgh Quay in Edinburgh. Information can be found on their website.
