Administrative / Biographical History

This collection consists of deeds concerning property in William Street, Swansea and abstracts of title to the Eaton estate from the firm of Messrs. Andrew, Thompson and Partners, Solicitors, Mansel Street, Swansea. The Eaton estate records concern the estate of Mr Robert Eaton Esq. of Brynymor, near Swansea, who died in 1872. Robert Eaton had bought the estate from his late uncle, Mr Henry Knight. He left his property to his wife Helen Eaton (died 1898) as tenant for life and after that it was to be divided between their eight children.
