Four letters from the illustrator Edward Ardizzone to Kaye Webb, then editor of Puffin Books. The letters are primarily personal in tone, but do include references to Ardizzone's inability to provide Webb with a story because he didn't have one in his head, and a Puffin Party in 1978 to which Ardizzone was invited but which he was unable to attend.
The letters show evidence of some pencil annotations, possibly in Kaye Webb's hand, which have been rubbed out at some point prior to the collection's deposit with Seven Stories.
