Civil records of Llanwrda parish, Carmarthenshire, 1801-1965, including account books of the churchwardens, the overseers of the poor, the surveyors of the highways, and rate assessments for the parish, 1818-1828; vestry books, 1938-1894; Parish Council minute books, 1894-1984; notices of appointment of overseers, 1895-1926; treasurer's receipt and payments book, 1895-1950; and community council minutes, 1985 - 2019.

Prior to 1894, monthly parish vestry meetings dealt with ecclesiastical matters, rates, and local issues. Parish councils were established by the Local Government Act 1894. Community councils replaced parish councils under local government reorganization in 1974.
