Dunsany Papers

Scrapbooks relating mainly to the Llandeilo area and to Italy, 1871-1910; photographs relating to Carmarthen, [c. 1870]; letters, 1738, and genealogical and other papers relating to the Gwynne and Gwynne-Hughes families, 1785-1917; and an engraving of Edwinsford, 1776.

During the 18th century, Tregib, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, was owned by the Gwynne family, later the Gwynne-Hughes family. Beatrice Henfrey married Major John William Gwynne-Hughes of Tregib in 1880. Their daughter, Victoria Gwynne-Hughes (died 1939), married Captain Henry Erasmus Philipps (1871-1938) of Picton Castle in 1909, becoming Lady Philipps when he succeeded to the baronetcy in 1928.
