Scope and Content

Wills, 1654/5-1801; marriage settlements, 1680-1699; apprenticeship indentures, 1670-1674.

Wills survive for various members of the Byrom family: the first three Edwards - Edward (c.1595-1654), Edward (1627-1668) and Edward (1656-1711); Joseph, who made several drafts of his will, and three of his issue, Anne, Edward and Josiah; John Byrom, his wife and three children, Elizabeth, Edward and Dorothy. These have been arranged chronologically, by person; Joseph's drafts have been listed sequentially.

The marriage agreements located in this subfond relate to more than one property; those relating to a single property, however, have been left amongst the relevant deeds in subfond 1 above.
