Scope and Content

The collection contains Dr Harvey's published papers on physics and technical education, 1928-66. Copies of A. Harvey, 1866-1966: One Hundred Years of Technical Education. Typescript articles and addresses by Dr Harvey on the history of technical education in Cardiff.

The archive also holds pamphlets, offprints and cuttings relating to technical education in the U.K. and U.S.A., together with letters relating to the history of technical education in Cardiff.

Administrative / Biographical History

Dr Alexander Harvey (1904-1987) was Principal of the Cardiff Technical College/Welsh College of Advanced Technology, later University of Wales Institute of Science and Technology, 1946-68.
