By 1917 , Walter McGhee & Sons Ltd was established as a textile manufacturer in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1931 , the company's patents were assigned to J & P Coats Ltd , thread manufacturers, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland. In 1932 , assets of the company were transferred to Laighpark Electric Motors Ltd , electrical engineers and manufacturers, Paisley, as nominees of J & P Coats Ltd. The company appears to have continued trading after 1936.
