Scope and Content

The Departmental Academic Board (DAB) was the main body for matters of academic government and policy within the Department/School. The Board reported to UMIST's senior academic committee, the Academic Board. A number of sub-committees reported to the DAB at various times including: postgraduate committee, B.Sc. [later undergraduate] committee, library committee, research committee, external relations committee, staffing committee, and the policy committee.
