Records of Unitarian College

This section is made up of the College's own records including: applications for admission; reports of the principal, tutors and visitors on students and applicants; correspondence providing information on admissions, examinations and finance; library records; and various minute books and record books between 1854-1953.

There is an incomplete run of records going back to the College's origins in 1854.

The records have been listed into 6 series:

• UCC/1/1 Applications for admission.
• UCC/1/2 Reports.
• UCC/1/3 Letters.
• UCC/1/4 Library records.
• UCC/1/5 Various minute and record books.
• UCC/1/6 Other records.

These divisions are not distinct; applications may be referred to in letters and assessed in reports, while letters may include reports. The first three series are listed by year; this leaves many gaps where records are missing, but facilitates cross-reference.
