Scope and Content

The first letter is from Auchinleck at the Supreme Commander's Headquarters, Delhi, to Syed Maratib Ali, regarding Auchinleck's imminent departure from Karachi. He apologises for not being able to see Syed Maratib Ali before he leaves and thanks him for the help and friendship he has shown. Typescript.

The second letter is from Syed Maratib Ali in Lahore to Auchinleck expressing his sorrow at being unable to see him before his departure and offering his best wishes. He also requests Auchinleck's opinion regarding his firm which rendered services to the British troops during the war. Typescript.
