The volume contains numerous examples of deeds and legal documents, including bills, indentures of lease, bargain and sale, letters of attorney, bills of acquittance, bonds, writs, petitions and warrants. Many of the exemplars relate to Preston and elsewhere in Lancashire. Some forms are in Latin, but they are mostly in English. There is also a copy of a court roll for the manor of Woodplumpton near Preston, Lancashire, 12 Eliz. [1569-70]. Original foliation survives.
