The collection comprises: a volume of notes on medieval ecclesiastical law compiled by Humphrey Prideaux (1648-1724), dean of Norwich (English MS 1152); and a diary of a continental journey, apparently written by Sir Edmund Prideaux (c.1646-1720), 4th Baronet, although the authorship has also been attributed to Richard Bellings-Arundell of Lanherne (English MS 1153).
