  • C211, LEO IV/KLX/System4 papers. General correspondence, minutes, reports, specifications etc. relating to the development of a LEO IV computer, 1962-1965. In 1963, LEO merged with English Electric, and development focussed on the KDF9, originally an EE project. In addition, a new project KLX was started in 1964. However, this was never completed, because of costs and in late 1964, the company switched to using the RCA spectra system, a licensed product . The Spectra 70 products became known as System 4 within the company. Subjects covered include system design, code design, microprogramming, programming languages (Python). 7 folders
