Fielden Brothers papers

An extensive group of papers relating both to the firm of Fielden Brothers and the career of John Fielden MP.

This material was bought as two separate groups, namely the papers of the firm, including early correspondence between the brothers and details of the business, and the papers of John Fielden MP, which were concerned mainly with his political career. These two sets of material had been mixed together and sorted by correspondent, so an attempt has been made to separate them into their original groupings, based on catalogue descriptions and other sources.
