Administrative / Biographical History
The Bothwell Trust Co Ltd, trustee company, Glasgow, Scotland was incorporated with limited liability in June 1896 with a capital of £1,000. In 1908 the company converted to a private company. It was a trustee company holding property upon trust. They were trustees for Clark & Co Ltd, thread manufacturers, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland, in liquidation. In September 1931 , an agreement was signed between Clark & Co Ltd and United Thread Mills Ltd, thread manufacturers, Glasgow, whereby the property held by The Bothwell Trust Co Ltd for the former became held by them for the latter. The Bothwell Trust Co Ltd was dissolved in December 2000 .
