Administrative / Biographical History
Alexander J B Gardiner was born 17 July 1929 in Paisley, Renfrewshire. He was educated at Paisley Grammar School. He studied engineering at the University of Glasgow 1946-1950. He took classes in Maths, Natural Philosophy, Drawing, General Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Heat Engines, Design, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Mechanical Designs. After graduating BSc in 1950 he became a mechanical engineer and lived in Paisley.
