Administrative / Biographical History
The Intertext Group Ltd was a wholly owned subsidiary of International-Inc, in turn a wholly owned subsidiary of Intext Inc. It was the parent company of ICS Ltd, ICS (Overseas) Ltd, The School of Accountancy (SOA) Ltd, The Regent Institute Ltd, The Institute of Domestic Arts Ltd, Intertext Training Services Ltd and The International Textbook Company Ltd. By 1981 It was comprised of ICS Ltd, ICS (Overseas) Ltd, The School of Accountancy (SOA) Ltd, The Regent Institute Ltd, The Institute of Domestic Arts Ltd and Intertext Training Services Ltd, with the latter 3 companies being dormant.
At that time. the Intertext Group Ltd, ICS Ltd and The School of Accountancy (SOA) Ltd only operated within the UK, whilst ICS (Overseas) Ltd had branch operations in South Africa, East Africa (based in Kenya), Zimbabwe, Singapore and Ireland. In 1982 the company underwent a corporate restructure which saw the Intertext Group Ltd, ICS (Overseas) Ltd and The School of Accountancy (SOA) Ltd being incorporated into one company as ICS Ltd. As part of the restructure the subsidiaries The Regent Institute, The Institute of Domestic Arts Ltd and Intertext Training Services Ltd were dissolved.
