Administrative / Biographical History

The firm James Cunningham & Sons conducted business as joiners, saw-millers and packing case makers at James Place Lane, Leith. The company was transferred over to brothers James Cunningham and Alexander Baikie Cunningham, on the 18th May 1927 following their father Walter Cunningham's retiral. By the 16th March 1936 James Cunningham had transferred the business over to his brother Alexander Baikie Cunningham following his retiral.
