Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
In terms of Ordinance No.183 of 1978 the university is required to keep a register of members of the General Council which is authenticated annually as the electoral roll for election of the chancellor (in accordance with Ordinance No.199 of 1995) and five assessors on the university court (in accordance with Ordinance No.193 of 1986). The election of assessors takes place every two years with two and three assessors being elected alternately to serve for four years at a time and no member of the senate having any part in the elections.
