Administrative / Biographical History
Charles Murchland Morrison was born in c1906, in Bressay, Shetland. His father, John, was a Parish Minister and at the time Charles Murchland Morrison was a student his permanent address was at Edenkillie Manse, Dunphail, Moray. Charles Murchland Morrison was an arts student at the University of Glasgow in the 1920s . He took the following classes: Ordinary History, Mathematics, French 1924-1925; Ordinary Latin, English, Political Economy 1925-1926; Higher English, Roman History, Ordinary Moral Philosophy 1926-1927. He graduated with an M.A. in 1927, however he went on to take Honours classes. He took Junior Honours English, Honours Humanity 1927-8; Senior Honours English and Honours Latin 1928-9; Psychology, Educational History, Physiology and Hygeine 1929-30. He became a teacher and stayed in Cresswell St. Glasgow, in c1932. He then moved to Akropong Training College, Akwapim, Gold Coast in c1938.
