Administrative / Biographical History
The Scottish Typographical Association was established in 1853 to act as a union for compositors throughout the country. In around 1974 it became the Scottish Graphical Association and a year later it merged with the Society of Graphical and Allied Trades to form the Society of Graphical and Allied Trades.
