Also details the crew's rescue by Captain Prins of the German barque the 'Steinwarder', the physical condition of the crew plus their current whereabouts, and an update on the costs involved in their rescue and forward journey to Arica, including insurance and wages. Captain Kidd also asks for the company to continue to pay his wife's monthly money until he returns home.
