Administrative / Biographical History
Malcolm Pringle Calder was born in Irvine, Ayrshire in May 1958 . Prior to attending the University of Glasgow, Malcolm was a student at Irvine Royal Academy. Malcolm attended the University of Glasgow from 1976-1978 , taking classes in Branch Studies, Engineering I, Mathematics I and Natural Philosophy I in his first year, and Applied Mechanics II, Electrical Engineering II, Graphics II, Mathematics II, Properties of Materials II and Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics II in his second and final year. He then transferred to Paisley College of Technology.
