The brewery was founded as the Albert Brewery in 1875 ; it became the Red Tower Lager Brewery Ltd, Moss Side, Manchester. It was acquired by Scottish Brewers in 1956 and MY Lager was brewed there. The brewery was renamed the Royal Brewery and continues to brew lagers for Scottish & Newcastle plc in 2006.
The material is arranged according to the Scottish Brewing Archive classification scheme used within all SBA collections.
