Administrative / Biographical History

The Glasgow University Christian Association was established following a meeting on 9 March 1886, and started to operate in the University in the session 1886/7.

The Association's aim was to unite students of the Christian faith and promote religious life and fellowship in the University. Membership was open to University students only, however members of Senate and teaching staff as well as ex-Office Bearers of the Society could join as Honorary Members.
