Scope and Content

The arms displayed are blazoned thus - parted per pale, dexter, (argent) a sword (asure) ensigned with a mullet (gules and surmounted of a saltire (sable) for Gavine of.... sinister,(or) three crescents (gules) an annulet gemmed (possibly "surmounted of a crescent for difference") for Edmiston (? of Bellewen-Edmiston). Appended to this drawing are genealogical notes concerning the Edmiston family
