Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Finlay became a wholly owned subsidiary of Swire Group in October 2000, after Swire purchased the remaining 70 percent of the business that it did not already own, valuing Finlay at 101 million pounds. This was an agreed takeover undertaken by Scheme of Arrangement. Project Boston includes the documents where the company sought shareholder approval at the EGM, and permissions of the Court as the takeover required a reduction in capital.
