Administrative / Biographical History

Gifted by Michele Ibbs (née Vincent) from her time as Marketing manager for new Product Development at Scottish & Newcastle Breweries Ltd. The documentatrion relating to the concept and development of Gillespie's Malt Stout for which Mrs Ibbs was responsible, initially working under the name of Project Devrish. It was intended as a competitor to Murphy's & Beamish, and its development was also seen as a commercial point of negotiation with Guinness as Scottish & Newcastle did not have its own draught stout at this time.
