The Oakeley Slate Quarry located at Blaenau Ffestiniog in Gwynedd, north Wales has been in operation since the mid nineteenth century when it was originally owned by the Oakeley family of Plas Tan-y-bwlch. It is still a working quarry today now owned by Mc Alpine.
