Note
In 1695, Parliament decided not to renew the Licensing Act. As a result, newspapers, such as the twice-weekly London newspaper The Post Boy , began to appear. The Post Boy was issued with two blank pages for a while in 1700, which allowed the purchaser to add a letter when dispatching the paper to friends in the country.
