The firm of Dare & Carter, motor engineers, was founded as a partnership between George Ernest Dare of Pollokshields, Glasgow, Scotland and F Farrar Carter of Kings Park, Glasgow, Scotland. They operated in Glasgow from 1926 until 1942, from premises at 100 Darnley Road, Pollokshields and 95 Titwood Road, Crossmyloof.
