Cricieth papers

Scope and Content

The collection contains material relating to Cricieth Urban District Council, the local government board and Cricieth Waterworks. Includes leases, account books, minute books and correspondence. Also contains miscellaneous material relating to the Cricieth area such as a clergyman's diary, deeds and other documents relating to legal administration and conveyance of property in the area.

Administrative / Biographical History

Cricieth is located on the Lleyn peninsula, north-west Wales, in the county of Gwynedd, formerly Caernarfonshire. It was a civil parish and an urban district administrative unit, under the authority of Pwllheli Poor Law Union and Eifionydd Petty Divisional Session.

Arrangement

Material has been arranged chronologically and incorporated into the General Collection of Bangor Manuscripts .
