Scope and Content

At a Court Baron of the Rev. Dr. Thomas Gouch, Master of Gonville and Caius and the Fellows, before Davy Durrant, esq., steward. Whereas at Court of 29 Nov. 1697, Alice Beeten, afterward Alice Stacy, was admitted tenant upon surrender of Henry Beeten to a messuage in Gt. Shelford of H.B.'s for the terms of her life, of about 53 acres. Now at this Court it is found that Alice Stacy is dead and that Robert Beeten is her next heir and he comes and prays admittance to var. pieces of land, one of them formerly Kemp's, another Wedd's, and another piece formerly Newton's...and all other tenements of the said John Beeten and Robert is admitted tenant. Examined by Davy Durrant, steward of Manor of Buristead in Great Shelford.
