Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
George Pope was born in 1902. He became General Manager of 'The Times', 1965-7, and was a Director of Times Newspapers Ltd., 1967-76. He was also a member of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association, 1938-79.
