Papers of Siegfried Sassoon

This is an interim description: a cataloguing project is in progress and the collection is partly closed. Descriptions of material classified as /1-9, /11 and /12 are now available. Please find below descriptions of the scope and content of the papers of Siegfried Sassoon which were purchased from the estate of his son George Sassoon in December 2009. Further descriptions are be written over the coming months and will be made accessible from this webpage as they are completed.

A number of items from this collection have been digitised on Cambridge Digital Library. Digitsied items include Sassoon's First World War notebooks and two poetry notebooks: MS Add.9852/1/ 4-25, MS Add.9852/1/32, and MS Add.9852/6/2-3. Links are provided at item levels.
